A Cinematic Engagement Session: Romance at Home in Denver

When Rachel first reached out to me she knew she wanted their home, once owned by local renowned artist, Bob Ragland, to set the stage to their engagement story. Set in a beautiful historic area, its charm was unmatched with all the architectural elements that a turn of the century home offers. 

As Bob was a painter and beloved to his neighbors, we collaborated on ideas and decided to incorporate a front porch painting scene in his honor! So Rachel and Jake set off in painting portraits of each other then surprising one another with their completed artistic masterpieces! 

Once finished we transitioned to a cozy and romantic dinner made my Jake himself who loves to cook! Let's just say it wasn't only the spaghetti that got spicy! Their love for one another was so apparent and obvious they made it so easy to capture. 

And dancing in the kitchen?! Yes please!

Complete with candlelight to offer the cinematic experience they were hoping for,  the night was complete when they read to each other some of their saved and treasured letters from their relationship. It was truly a magical evening and full of all the honest and heartfelt emotion I aim to photograph with each and every session.
